About
The Antarctica 2018 and Chile 2019 expeditions were a twenty-one total day sea kayaking, hiking and camping trip on the Antarctic Peninsula and in Patagonia, Chile from late December 2018 to early January 2019.
The trip was hosted by Southern Sea Ventures (SSV) and traveled on the Aurora Expeditions ship Polar Pioneer. It included six days of sea kayaking and camping around the Antarctic Peninsula, along with educational lectures and briefings.
The five person team was comprised of Georgia Tech students. Average temperatures were 25°F to 35°F (-4°C to 2°C).
